Destined to be a career girl, I left my hometown in Michigan and crummy part time retail job to pursue a career in Technology at a company I had never heard of before in Boston. I didn’t know it then, but that day I picked up a winning lottery ticket – I love what I do. My career took off and soon brought me to Austin, Texas; a dream come true for anyone who has lived through 25 consecutive winters.
Two weeks after I moved to Austin I became a homeowner, I got a dog for the backyard and now proudly own over 30 house plants. I embraced the Austin way of life, fast, including the part about Keeping It Weird, did I mention I have 30 plants?
I’ve lived in Texas for three years now and have been part of the its dating arena for the last year. And wow, it’s a rough one out there. My hope is to take a bad date, turn it into a good story and share it with radical honesty, deep candor, and a whole lot of sass. If I’ve learned anything so far about Dating Austin it’s you will need a sense of humor.
Here’s to the pursuit…never give up, settle, or stop learning about yourself.
